Go Cougars!
Today we discourse, briefly, on how the things that words mean can change.
When Gus and I were driving back from our lovely week in way-northern Vermont (we stayed in my Aunt's cabin, about 1000 feet from Quebec, on Lake Memphremagog), we got off the highway to look for some lunch and drove through a town where we saw a sign that said: "Tonight Cougar Mixer. Go Cougars!"
I said, "Wow, this town must have a lot of single aging ladies!"
Then we realized that the the town high school's team was named The Cougars.
Still, it would have been funny if I had put on an age-inappropriate dress and showed up looking for some action, no?
