Rhetoricians.
John Muse and I, two Berkeley Rhetoricians at Haverford, recently invited "Rhetoric East," all the UCB-Rhet PhDs who have jobs within a few hours of Philadelphia, to an evening of dinner, drinks, hootenanny and hijinx at his house on Duck Pond Lane, Haverford Campus. We've got people teaching at Haverford, Bryn Mawr, Penn, Villanova, Temple, Princeton, Pace, Stonybrook, NYU and Bard. Not bad!
It was a fun evening. But it wasn't until I saw this photo, from Andrew's camera, that I thought about how amazing it is that we all made it into good jobs so close to each other, and made the effort to gather and hang out.

ha. yeah. I'm actually wearing a purple shirt and blue skirt, but the photo captures it as black. but, sure, a monochromatic crew.
